Vitamin C Colour Pigment Remover will:
- Remove build-up, older, layered, or warmer or darker semi, demi or permanent oxidative pigments, and return to your natural colour level.
- It works very well to remove built-up colour or darker pigments
- It can be used to remove prominent warm tones such as copper tones, if you want to change your colour to a neutral or cool colour finish
- It will not dry or damage your hair
- It will not lift or lighten your natural colour level
Bleach washing will:
- Achieve a colour lighter than your natural colour level
- Remover older, darker pigments
- We recommend doing some deep conditioning treatments with Repair Mask or Tsubaki Oil before and after a bleach wash to boost moisture and condition.
Our Vitamin C Colour Pigment Remover is powered by ascorbic acid (Vitamin C from oranges) and malic acid (from apples), which form a powerful anti-oxidant formula which can lift oxidative colour (semi, demi or permanent salon or box colour). It is a non-damaging, gentle, water-activated complex which is perfect to remove older, darker, warm or layered pigments. Removing colour pigments tends to reveal natural warmth in the hair, so we recommend applying a permanent colour with cool tones to achieve a tonally balanced finish after the CPR application.
Bleach washes will remove older pigments and also lighten your natural base colour level. A bleach based lightening process is needed if you want to achieve a colour which is 2 or more levels lighter than your natural colour level. Lightening your hair will reveal warmth and it is essential to colour with a colour with cool tones after lightening.
We also recommend deep conditioning treatments before and after a bleach wash, as there is some moisture loss during the colour lifting process.
Can I colour my hair the same day as ive used the colour pigment remover?
Thanks for getting in touch! Yes – you can go ahead and apply colour on the same day as you use the Colour Pigment Remover. Just make sure that you dry your hair after washing our the CPR, as you need to apply colour to dry hair. I hope that helps!
