The Shade’s 27 vol developer has been specifically formulated to:
- Lift 2 – 3 colour levels
- Cover stubborn greys
Lifting
Our 27 vol developer can lift up to 3 colour levels. It can achieve a lighter, more intense colour and provide more lift than a 20 vol developer.
Grey Coverage
Grey hair can be thicker or frizzier than naturally coloured hair. Along with the loss of pigments there can be changes to the hairs texture.
The outer cuticle layer of grey hair can be more tightly layered than naturally pigmented hair. These tight layers can resist colour absorption, resulting in insufficient colour coverage over resistant greys.
27 vol has more lifting power than 20 vol developer. It can lift the tougher cuticle layer of stubborn greys, successfully depositing colour when the standard 20 vol developer cannot.
Use:
The 27 vol developer has a higher percentage (8%) of peroxide than the 20 vol developer. When mixed with hair colour the peroxide allows the natural pigment in the hair to be lifted out, lifting the cuticle of the hair in the process. This lifting process will also release some natural moisture in the hair, so it is best used on hair which is healthy and in good condition.
We recommend regular moisturizing treatments such as Thermal Tsubaki treatments if you are regularly colouring with 27 vol, to ensure that moisture is returned to the hair.
27 vol is specifically developed to achieve to more lift than 20 vol, without the damaging, drying effects of a 30 vol developer.
Processing Time:
To cover stubborn greys with no lift: 40 minutes processing time
For maximum 2-3 levels of lift: 50-55 minutes processing time
Ingredients:
27 vol developer contains 8% peroxide.
Our 27 vol developer is blended with Saccharomyces Ferment Lysate and Coffea Arabica Seed Extract.
Ferment Lystate is a fermented yeast that is used in skin care products for its ability to improve absorption, moisturise and soothe the skin. Ferment Lystate reduces skin irritation and makes the product safer and better tolerated by those with sensitive skin.
Coffea Arabica Seed Extract is renowned for its antioxidant properties and is an effective healing agent which repairs skin damage.
I am so happy with the lightest beige blonde that I am about to receive a third shipment. The product doesn’t dry my hair out. There is no comparison…salon results for home colour prices! Love it!
